PASS Card Update

On the 17th January PASS (Proof of Age Standard Scheme) launched an updated card format which includes the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) logo plus the logo of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). This is to illustrate the support of both entities for this form of identification indeed Rachel Kearton, Assitant Chief Constable of Suffolk Police and National Police Chief’s Council lead for alcohol and licensing stated “Lost passports cause a major problem not only for the owner but for the Police should they fall into the hands of a criminal. It makes no sense for young people to take these valuable documents into town for a night out. I would like to see PASS used more frequently in the night time economy”.
